Heating Pads Specifications

The pressure exerted on the heating pad is approximately 1 kilogram for every square inch when a fully laden flexibag is placed on top of the heating pad. Never use the steam heating pad for hot water operation but hot water heating pads can be used for steaming operation. This is due to the fact that steam has a much higher pressure than hot water and so the hot water heating pads have a solid rubber ridge running through its entire length to avoid being totally crushed or compressed. Use the bottom discharge flexibag for more viscous liquids with a high Specific Gravity.

The Technical Specifications of Heating Pad:

General Description: A series of hoses attached to 2 stainless steel pipes.

How to lay the Disposable heating pad

A. Remove the heating pad from the carton

B. Place the heating pad on the container floor at least 2 feet from the end of the container.

C. Unroll the heating pad to the front of the container.

D. Ensure the rubber hoses are not “kinked”, “knotted” or overlapping each other. Make sure they are all straightened.

E. Since this is a disposable heating pad and supplied brand new and tested, it is not necessary to test or check the hoses for tears or cut or damage.

F. Ensure that the inlet and outlet hoses run through the bulkhead or run over the top of the bulkhead before your secure them.

G. Lay the flexibag on top of the heating pad.

H. Lay another heating pad on top of the flexibag if a heating blanket is to be used.

I. If needed, foam covered with aluminum foil can be placed along both sides of the flexibag in order to retain heat.

J. You can now start the loading operation once the bottom discharge outlet is properly fitted into the bulkhead.

K. Please ensure that the “black” inlet hose is properly labeled.

How to operate the Disposable heating pad:

1. Once laden container had arrived, open the right hand door of the Container.

2. Untie the rubber hoses attached to the bulkhead

3. Straightened the hoses and check if they are not bent, kinked or twisted.

4. Attached fittings (optional) to the “black” inlet hoses to enable them to be properly connected to the steam or hot water source.

5. Connect the inlet hoses to the steam or hot water hoses.

6. Fit a steam trap (optional) to the outlet hoses for steaming operation so as to enable the steam to remain in the heating pad and to build up the pressure in order to increase the working temperature.

7. Ensure that steam or water is properly discharging from the outlet hose/s.

8. Slowly increase steam or hot water pressure to the heating pad.

9. Check the melting temperature of the product and ensure that the heat source is not hot to overheat the product.

10. Once the product had been sufficiently melted, start to discharge the product. Do not turn off the heat source at this stage.

11. Heat until one quarter of the product remains and slowly decrease the steam or hot water pressure. Pump out the remainder of the product.

12. Allow the heating pad/s to be sufficiently cool before you disengage the hoses.

13. Dispose of the heating pad once operation is over.
